High Ercall Primary School

Our site is made up of two buildings - the original Victorian school building, and the main school building which now houses all the classrooms. All are accessible for adults and children.

Accessibility

The school site has a number of features to ensure that it is entirely accessible for all. The Victorian building was modified when it was refurbished to ensure accessibility, with a ramp to one of the entrances. There are still some steps, but the entire building can be accessed using the ramp.

The main school building is on one level across the whole site.

Car Parking

We ask parents to park at the Village Hall in the village, along Park Lane. This is a very short walk from the school site, crossing Shrewsbury Rod safely with a pedestrian zone in the centre of the road. Church Road itself is a no through road, and there is very little parking outside the church. There are 2 designated spaces for those with a disability and a parking badge to reflect this.

To keep our children safe, we ask that parents please avoid Church Road. If it is necessary to use this road, it should be at a very low speed.

For events, we open the large playground which enables parking for the site.

On occasions, parents request parking on the school car park if there is a particular need, which may be granted for a short period. Because we have buses arriving at the site, we do try to limit this as the car park is very busy.

Visitors to the adjacent nursery are kindly asked to avoid parking at school, and no access is allowed between 8.30am and 9.15am, and 2.45pm and 3.30pm
